Young Leaders in Allerton – Lead, Inspire & Make a Difference

If you’re aged 14–18 and ready for a challenge,

join us as a Young Leader and work with kids from Allerton, Grassendale, and beyond. Support leaders, run activities, earn Duke of Edinburgh awards, and inspire younger Scouts. It’s a chance to lead, grow, and make a difference in your community. Are you a teenager with energy to spare and ideas to share?

As a Young Leader at 25th Allerton Scouts you’ll help run meetings for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs or Scouts while collecting real‑world skills that stand out on any CV or Duke of Edinburgh logbook.

What a Young Leader week looks like

Lead the fun – kick off a high‑energy game or craft challenge and watch younger faces light up.

Plan micro‑adventures – brainstorm with adult leaders, add your twist, then see it come to life the same evening.

Mentor and motivate – spot a shy youngster, give encouragement, celebrate their “I did it!” moment.

Collect volunteer hours – every session counts toward DofE, university enrichment or just a feel‑good record of service.

Grow your skill set – communication, teamwork, first‑aid basics and problem‑solving under real pressure (the fun kind!).
