Squirrels in Allerton L19 – Big Adventures for Little Ones (Ages 4–6)

Welcome to the 25th Allerton Squirrel Drey
It's the perfect first leap into the Scouting world for inquisitive 4- to 6-year-olds in Allerton, Grassendale, and nearby L19, L18, and L17. We meet every week at The Scout Hut, St Mary’s Church, Grassendale, Liverpool, just minutes from Garston and Aigburth.
In our cosy weekly gatherings, your child will make new friends, play imaginative games, and start collecting their very first badges , all while learning the kindness, confidence, and curiosity that Scouting is famous for. Every “What if…?” becomes a little adventure, and every session builds the skills for life that will carry them through Cubs, Scouts, and beyond. Parents can feel confident their youngsters are gaining something special from the very start.

Our sessions are story‑book bright and packed with variety. One week we might follow a treasure map through the park hunting for colours of the rainbow; the next we’re building mini dens for woodland creatures, mixing fizzy volcano potions or practising big‑hearted teamwork in parachute games. Everything is hands‑on, age‑appropriate and designed to help Squirrels discover their world through play – whether that’s tasting fire‑side marshmallows, planting seeds for a kindness garden or proudly showing off a brand‑new skill to the grown‑ups at home.

You can relax knowing your child is looked after by fully trained, DBS‑checked volunteers who follow The Scout Association’s robust safety and safeguarding policies.
Our leader team keeps meetings inclusive and affordable, with plenty of friendly faces on hand so every Squirrel feels seen and supported.
If you’d like your little one to start their journey in a safe, nurturing place filled with laughter and mini‑adventures, come and try a taster evening with the 25th Allerton Squirrels, we can’t wait to welcome you both.
