Scouts in Grassendale – Adventure & Skills for Life (Ages 10½–14)

Welcome to the 25th Allerton Scout Troop We are open to ages 10½–14 from Grassendale, Allerton, and beyond. Whether hiking, leading a camp, or helping the community, Scouts develop resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills. Every challenge is an adventure, every friend a teammate, and every memory a story worth telling.

Here is where young people push their boundaries, discover new passions and start taking the lead.

In Scouts your child joins a patrol of friends who plan parts of their own programme, practise real decision making and have the opportunity to take on leadership roles like Patrol Leader.

From climbing walls to community take‑overs of the local hall, every activity strengthens resilience, teamwork and a sense of “I can do this!”

Our weekly meet‑ups are a springboard into bigger adventures. One month we might be setting off to an overnight camp and cooking supper over embers; the next we’re wiring up an Electronics badge project, tackling a local rewilding scheme that’s part of Scouts’ new nationwide nature partnership, or earning the Environmental Conservation badge by turning waste pallets into wildlife habitats.

Your child’s safety is our number‑one priority. Every leader is a trained volunteer who’s completed an enhanced DBS check and follows The Scout Association’s robust safeguarding policy, so you can relax while they explore, create and grow.

We keep camps affordable, lend kit where we can and welcome every family with open arms. If you’d like your young explorer to gain skills for life in a fun, trusted setting, come along for a taster evening at the 25th Allerton Scouts – we’ll be ready with a large smile and a big “hello”.
