Supporting Policies — Openness, Respect and Trust

Alongside our core policies, we also have a set of Supporting Policies that guide how we work as a group. These include:

• Duty of Candour — being open and honest when things go wrong

• Religious Policy — welcoming members of all faiths and none, while respecting our sponsoring church’s role

• Vetting Policy — ensuring all adult volunteers are DBS checked and fully approved through the Scouts’ process

These policies help build trust, show respect and keep Scouting safe and fair for all.
