Safety Policy — Putting Safety First in Every Adventure

Adventure is what makes Scouting exciting — but safety always comes first. Our Safety Policy ensures every activity, meeting and camp is as safe as reasonably possible, without losing the fun.

We commit to:

• Risk assessing every activity, indoors and out

• Keeping our hut, equipment and facilities safe

• Stopping or adapting any activity if risks can’t be managed

• Training leaders so they feel confident and competent

• Reporting and learning from all incidents and near misses

This approach keeps Scouting adventurous but also reassuring for families, knowing their children are in safe hands.
