🎪 Sleep, Snacks and Silliness – Gulliver’s World Sleepover Adventure!
And so the reliving begins…
What a magical weekend we had at Gulliver’s World, where all sections of 25th Allerton came together for one incredible sleepover in the epic Blast Arena.
With 52 children and 29 adults, we may not have had much sleep (😆😆🤣🤣), but we had a whole lot of fun, laughter and memory-making. Our amazing photographers captured it all – and we’re so excited to share the photos and videos of this unforgettable experience.
After a surprisingly peaceful night of floor-based snoozing, we woke to find the Cub Scouts already up, organised, and feeding everyone breakfast like absolute pros. There were croissants, fruit, toast, cereal, jams, marmalade, drinks – you name it! Huge thanks to Gulliver’s World for making sure we were well fed before the morning fun began.
Special shoutout to Cub Scout Henry, who showed brilliant focus and kindness by manning the hot drinks station (with supervision) for 90 minutes, making teas, coffees and hot chocolates like a true barista.
Also a big well done to Cub Scout Ed, who took on the tray display like a pro, the dads who rolled up their sleeves for washing up, and all our leaders for keeping the kitchen team running with such great spirit and smiles.
Massive thanks to Richard Ramsaran for helping bring this event together and discovering the brilliant Gulliver’s World sleepover deal. What a find! We were delighted by how many adults were keen to join us, completing their DBS checks, updating training, and even taking part in their first ever sleepover with the group.
Matt from Gulliver’s World was incredibly helpful and friendly (his mum is a Beaver Leader in Lancashire, of course!), so we made sure he received a little thank you certificate from us. We also had a lovely chat with him about their new nature zone and fire pit – which we definitely hope to return and explore soon.
From Squirrels and Beavers building shelters in the sunshine, to Cubs and Scouts battling it out on crazy golf, the whole event was filled with energy, teamwork and true Scouting spirit.
And of course, no sleepover is complete without celebrating a few standout stars…
