🧪 A Night at the Catalyst Museum – Squirrels and Beavers Sleepover

This year, our Squirrels and Beavers had their very first sleepover at the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes, and what an unforgettable adventure it was!

From start to finish, the experience was full of excitement, laughter and discovery. The Catalyst team were absolutely brilliant, leading hands-on science activities, a fascinating senses show, and even a soap-making workshop that had everyone completely engaged.

The highlight? Sleeping at the very top of the museum, in the glass-walled observatory with breathtaking views across the River Mersey. It was the perfect setting for a cosy and memorable night for all 40 participants.

For many, it was their first night away from home, and they rose to the challenge with courage and smiles. There was a real sense of teamwork and encouragement, and friendships blossomed all around.

Everyone earned their Nights Away and Experiment activity badges, and to show our appreciation, the group created a giant thank you card signed by every single participant, which was hand-delivered with pride.

This sleepover was a huge success and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Here’s what some of our wonderful families had to say:

“Albie had a great time, he said it was even better than the Gulliver's sleepover so you’ve pulled it out the bag once more.” – Dave

“Thank you everyone! William and Daniel thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have come home asking to stay at the museum for a week next time… just for planning purposes!” – Amanda

“Thank you all so much, you’ve helped Sam achieve something massive!!” – Charlie

“Finn said it was 20 out of 10!” – Catherine
