📝 No Risk Without an Assessment – Scouts' Honour!
Here at 25th Allerton, we’re all about adventure, challenge and trying new things... but only after a good, solid risk assessment – colour-coded, bullet-pointed and possibly laminated.
We know that trusting your young people to spend time climbing trees, lighting fires, paddling canoes or even sleeping near someone who snores like a rhino can be a bit nerve-wracking. So we just want to say, loud and clear:
Yes, we do risk assessments. Lots of them. For everything. All the time.
From planning a sleepover in a science museum to a walk in the woods, we’ve considered every possible “what if” – including the unlikely chance of it raining jelly or someone accidentally gluing themselves to a canoe paddle. (Okay, maybe not that one. Yet.)
Our leaders are trained, our activities are planned with safety in mind, and we always aim to manage risk without removing the fun. Because let’s face it, adventure without a bit of muddy chaos wouldn’t be Scouting.
So rest assured – while your young people are out learning, laughing and sometimes wearing their jumpers backwards, we’ve got things covered. Risk assessed, approved, and ready for action.
After all, there’s no risk without an assessment... and no badge without a bit of harmless mischief.
