🌊 From Allerton to Filey – A Tale of Two Scout Groups!
We’re absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news from our Scouting family!
Thanks to a very special introduction to Ian Clarkson—son of Rev Eric Clarkson, one of the founding members of 25th Allerton Scout Group back in 1951—we are now officially twinned with 1st Filey Scout Group!
Rev Eric was a passionate Scout leader throughout his life. After his time in Allerton, he continued his Scouting journey in Filey, where he was a much-loved and active member of the 1st Filey Scout Group. Although the group sadly closed its doors twenty years ago, this year brings wonderful news—with Ian’s help, 1st Filey is back!
They’ve started strong with a Squirrel Drey and a Beaver Colony, and a Cub Pack is just around the corner. It’s been such a joy for 25th Allerton to share in their journey—offering support, programme ideas, encouragement, and of course, our prayers.
There’s already a lot in the pipeline, including a joint logo that’s been proudly designed to represent this new partnership. We can’t wait to see what the future holds as both groups grow together in spirit and adventure.
