Nothing matters more than safety. At 25th Allerton, our Safeguarding Policy makes sure every child and young person can enjoy Scouting in a safe and caring environment.
It follows The Scout Association’s national policy and includes the Yellow Card Code of Conduct, which every adult in Scouting must follow. Key points include:
Always putting young people’s welfare first
Treating everyone with respect and fairness
Never tolerating bullying, abuse or discrimination
Avoiding being alone with young people where not appropriate
Reporting concerns immediately and appropriately
We make safeguarding everyone’s responsibility. All volunteers are trained, and we encourage families to raise concerns if they ever feel something is not right.
