Our Scout Hut is at the heart of the 25th Allerton Scout Group. It’s the place where mini adventures begin, where friendships blossom and where our young people learn and grow together. To make sure it stays safe and welcoming for everyone, we carry out a Hut Premises Risk Assessment.

This assessment helps us look carefully at anything that might cause harm in and around the hut. It covers areas such as:

  • Building safety — checking the roof, drains, heating and water systems

  • Fire and gas safety — drills, equipment checks and professional inspections

  • Kitchen and cleaning materials — safe storage, hygiene, and allergy awareness

  • Accessibility — making sure everyone can join in, with ramps and quiet spaces

  • General safety — preventing slips, trips, falls and keeping exits clear

We review this regularly so the hut remains a safe and inclusive space for adventures of all sizes. With trained volunteers, first aid provision and strong community support, our hut continues to be a place where memories are made safely.
