🏛️ Mayor, Merseyrail and a Very Special Badge — Cubs Take on the Town Hall

Twenty-five Cubs traded the hut for the halls of power — and came home with a badge to prove it.

There are Monday nights at the hut, and then there are the ones you talk about for years. Monday 9th March was firmly the latter, as twenty-five Cubs (plus ten brilliant parents) boarded Merseyrail and headed into the city for something a little bit special.

The destination? Liverpool Town Hall. The occasion? Meeting the Mayor of Liverpool — and walking away with the UK Parliament Badge, presented by the Mayor themselves.

A massive thank you to Councillor Richard Clein, 25th Allerton's Scout Group Ambassador, who made the whole visit happen. Connections like this are exactly what make Scouting in South Liverpool so special.

The day had an extra sprinkle of magic too — with a 10th birthday celebrated along the way. Not a bad way to mark the occasion. 🎂

As one Cub put it: "Brilliant experience." Hard to argue with that.
