When we ran our Community Survey 2025, you told us something important. Loneliness and isolation are real issues in our neighbourhood — and that's not something we wanted to sit quietly with.

So we did something about it.

Our very own Jane, Group Lead Volunteer, has launched a Chatty Café Table at The Coffee Vault, 78 St Mary's Road, Garston, L19 2JG — and it's already open every Wednesday from 9.30am to 11am.

Whether you fancy a proper conversation, a gentle catch-up, or you simply want to sit somewhere warm with friendly faces around you — you are welcome. No need to know anyone. No need to say very much at all if you'd rather just listen. That's the whole point.

The Chatty Café is part of the national Chatty Café Scheme — a wonderful initiative bringing people together in cafés across the country to tackle loneliness one cup of tea (or coffee!) at a time.

And on the subject of coffee — by all accounts, The Coffee Vault's is really great. ☕

A huge thank you to local Councillor Sam Gorst for the support in making this happen — it genuinely means a lot to our community.
