🌍 32 Bags and Counting — The Wombles Are at It Again

A Bank Holiday well spent in Cressington and Grassendale.

COMMUNITY · SCOUTS · ALL SECTIONS

Forty people of all ages turned out on Saturday morning for this month's Cressington Wombles litter pick — and they didn't disappoint. Thirty-two bags of litter collected, reported to Liverpool Council, and our 2026 running total now stands at an impressive 258 bags.

A special welcome to Valentina and Cordy and their families, who joined for the very first time. Brilliant to have you with us!

The Cressington Wombles are open to everyone — and for those from 25th Allerton who joined in, that's another hour of Community Impact work ticked off too. Not bad for a Saturday morning. ☀️

Bags have been reported to Liverpool Council for collection, and the next event is Saturday 6th June at 10am. But you don't have to wait — keep picking between events and let us know so every bag gets counted. You can even share a photo of your haul on the [Cressington Wombles Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/481977593804513).

Thank you to everyone who gave up their Bank Holiday morning to make South Liverpool a little bit cleaner. See you in June! 💚

Happy with this, or any tweaks — tone, length, whether to mention Richard Clein explicitly?
