🌟 115 Young People, 120 on the Waiting List — Can You Help?

Every section is full. The demand is real. And we need you.

We are so proud of what 25th Allerton has become. 115 young members. 21 volunteers. A group that's full to the brim with brilliant young people doing brilliant things across Grassendale, Cressington and South Liverpool.

And the phone — metaphorically speaking — keeps ringing. We're averaging three new enquiries every single week, and we reply to every one as quickly as we can. But right now, every section is full, and our waiting lists tell their own story:

• 🐿️ Squirrels — 36 waiting, 17 of age to join by September

• 🦫 Beavers (Cunard & White Star) — 67 waiting, 9 of age to join by September

• 🐯 Cubs (Monday & Wednesday) — 8 waiting, 6 of age to join by September

• ⚜️ Scout Troop — 9 waiting, 9 of age to join by September

We feel genuinely honoured that so many South Liverpool families choose 25th Allerton. And genuinely saddened that we can't say yes to everyone right now.

So here's our ask.

Scouts UK's current strategy is called A Place To Belong — and that's exactly what we're trying to build here in L19. But to open more spaces, we need more leaders. Scout rules mean we must maintain the right child/adult ratios at every session and activity — which means every new volunteer directly unlocks a place for a child on that waiting list.

You don't need any experience. You just need to show up. If you're a parent already on the waiting list, joining the leadership team is also one of the ways we can offer your child a place.
